This response to the session entitled "Science Linking Environmental Contaminant Exposures With Fertility and Reproductive Health in the Adult Female" describes an emerging research tool: the possibility of generating eggs from embryonic stem cells for toxicology and biomarker studies. It was presented at the 2007 Summit on Environmental Challenges to Reproductive Health and Fertility, January 28-30, 2007, at the University of California, San Francisco, Mission Bay Conference Center, San Francisco, California.
